We are a no-kill shelter, rescuing and re-homing abandoned dogs from death row in Sydney's pounds. Monika's Doggie Rescue is a registered charity that believes in saving and re-homing as many dogs as we can from the council pounds. For many years Monika Biernacki and a group of volunteers have been rescuing dogs from death row and successfully re-homing them with permanent and loving owners. In 2001 the charity DoggieRescue was established. Many of the dogs we take are small dogs and puppies but we also take as many bigger dogs as we have carers for. Most of the dogs we rescue are cross breeds but from time to time we have pure breed dogs. We are Sydney based and do not do interstate adoption.

Manu

  • Breed: Terrier X Lhaso Apso
  • Age: 2 years
  • Manu came from the pound in a badly matted filthy state. After a good clip bath and parasite control Manu looks a different dog. He is improving his sociability with other dogs. Out walking everything is new to him and he does lunge and bark at some dogs on lead. He enjoys running and jogging and is very affectionate with volunteers. He is good with kids but best with 10+yo due to his excitable nature. He is still in that chewy stage of his life and needs exercise twice daily. Manu is stil nervous of men and will growl at some. He weighs 10.2kg.He comes desexed C5 vaccinated heartworm free and microchipped. Also included for the love and health of our dogs is a free Health and Wellness Voucher with our DR Vet. His adoption cost is $400.
